Deleting your Instagram account is permanent, so make sure you really want to do it before proceeding.
🔴 Permanently Delete Your Account
Go to the official deletion page:
https://www.instagram.com/accounts/remove/request/permanent/�
- Log in to your Instagram account if you’re not already.
- Select a reason for deleting your account.
- Re-enter your password.
Click “Delete [your username]”.
👉 Once you confirm, your account will be permanently deleted after about 30 days. During this time, it’s deactivated and not visible to others.
🟡 Temporarily Deactivate Instead (Safer Option)
- If you just need a break:
- Log in via browser (not app).
- Go to your profile → Edit Profile.
- Click “Temporarily disable my account” at the bottom.
- Choose a reason and enter your password.
- This hides your account until you log back in.
⚠️ Important Notes
- You can’t recover your account after permanent deletion.
- Your photos, followers, and messages will be gone forever.
- You can cancel deletion by logging back in before 30 days.
